Mediation
During mediation, a neutral third party called a mediator may meet separately or together with both parties to attempt to reach an agreement. The mediator is trained to help the litigants reach a solution that is acceptable to both parties. All statements made during a mediation conference are confidential and cannot be used as evidence if the case goes to trial.
