Juror Information – Bradford County

Amid the COVID-19 threat, the Courts of the 8th Circuit are advising citizens summonsed for jury duty who are ill to request excusal or postponement from the Clerk of the Court.
Those postponed will be recalled for jury duty within the next 90 days.

If you answer yes to any of the statements below, please contact the number on your jury summons to request a postponement.

  • I have tested positive for COVID-19 within the previous 14 days, or I am awaiting a COVID-19 test result.
  • I have had close contact with someone who has a current COVID-19 diagnosis, or who is awaiting a COVID-19 test result.
  • I am under instructions to self-isolate or quarantine due to COVID-19.
  • I have at least one of the following COVID-19 symptoms (not due to a known medical reason): New or worsening cough, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Chills, Muscle pain, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell
  • I am 65 years of age or older or have a serious underlying medical condition as identified by the CDC at: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-extra-precautions/index.html
  • I must care for a child or relative whose regular care provider is closed or unavailable for reasons related to COVID-19.
  • I am receiving leave pursuant to the Families First Coronavirus Response Act.
  • I have recently returned to work after being unemployed due to COVID-19.
  • I have suffered a financial or personal loss due to COVID-19 that makes it a hardship to perform jury service.
  • I am concerned about exposure to COVID-19 and request a 90 day postponement.
Juror Excusal and Postponement

You may complete the Juror Excusal and Postponement form that is included in your Jury Summons packet if you qualify for the exemptions or disqualifications listed. Calling Before Report Date

The Court may cancel your jury service prior to the time you were ordered to report. Please call (800) 568-6826 for reporting instructions after 5:00 PM on the Friday before your report date.

Jurors summonsed to serve in Bradford County can park in the parking lot surrounding the Bradford County Courthouse.

Any person who does not pass screening questions and a temperature check will be denied entry into the courthouse.

Everyone in the court area of the courthouse, including the courtroom, must wear a face covering over their nose and mouth. While bringing face coverings is encouraged, a disposable mask will be provided to anyone who does not bring their own face covering.

All individuals in the court area of the courthouse, including the courtroom, must maintain a distance of at least six feet from one another, whenever possible.

Cleaning and disinfecting will take place throughout the day, and physical barriers will be put in place wherever possible.
