Jury Excusal

Do not report for jury service if you might have COVID-19.

If you answer “yes” to any of the following questions, please follow the instructions below to be excused from jury service.

  • Have you had contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19?
  • Do you have a cough or shortness of breath?
  • Do you have a fever over 100.4°?

To request excusal or postponement of jury service for COVID-19—related reasons in Alachua County, please complete the COVID-19—Related Jury Excusal Request Form for Alachua County.

To request excusal or postponement of jury service for COVID-19—related reasons in Baker, Bradford, Gilchrist, Levy, or Union County, please print out the Supplemental Excusal Form, complete and sign it, and mail it back to the appropriate courthouse, ATTN: Jury Administration.
